The professions of \u2018medical paramedic\u2019 and \u2018medical assistant\u2019 in Bulgaria \u2013 historical development, up-to-date training and realisation<\/p>\n

The main goal of the higher medical schools in Bulgaria today is the training of highly qualified, motivated and competitive specialists with competence suggesting successful realization in the health system.
\nEnsuring quality human resources in the field of healthcare is a complex and responsible challenge. It is addressed by factors such as training and specialization in accordance with new standards and technologies, advances in medical science and innovation, long-term planning tailored to the needs of society and the labour market.
\nThe World Health Organization (WHO) defines health workforce shortages and uneven distribution. It forecasts a deepening of the problem in response to migration and demographic processes.
\n\"The most critical problem facing health systems in the world is the shortage of people working in these systems\" WHO.
\nBulgaria is no exception to the global trend. Democracy, the country's membership in the European Union, the opening of borders for the transfer of professionals have opened new horizons for the professional realization of health professionals. At the same time, unresolved problems over the years such as:
\nInsufficient investment in education;
\nDifficulties in the opportunities for specialization of staff;
\n\u27a2inadequate responsibilities and disincentives professionals to work remuneration;
\ninsufficient financing of healthcare facilities with consequent difficulties and problems of the working environment;
\n\u27a2 Absence of targeted state policy in the field of human resource management in healthcare
\nhave become a reason for Bulgarian medical specialists to migrate and look for other opportunities for realization and career development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
